Mount Żar is a summit in the Little Beskids with a magnificent view of the panorama of the Silesian and Żywiec Beskids as well as the Żywiec Basin. It is one of the most popular attractions of the region due to the extensive recreational area it offers. There is a ropeway leading to the mountain, and in winter, there are two ski lifts and ski trails leading along them. Moreover, there are numerous hiking trails, 3 downhill biking trails, a toboggan run and a recreational airfield from which you can take a glider flight in the surrounding area. There is a gliding school at the foot of the mountain, where paragliding is practised. On the summit itself, meanwhile, there is a water reservoir which feeds a pumped storage power station.
